Journal Entry: Day 85

Gerik, Perak, Malaysia,

Yesterday was a sunny day after 2/3 days of rain in the area.
I went gym in the morning, found some fruits, extend my stay until Monday (probably will have to extend more), I finally cut my hair at the barbershop (there are so many barbers for such a small town, probably 15 or more). I have been planning with the forest guide to go Monday to install a recorder near a salt lick in Royal Belum. I also worked on computer at the tea shop (Tealive).
Then I went scout new places, around the town of Kerunai (on the road to Thailand border), I found a very small road that passes through the rubber plantations and extends around the highest mountain in the area (Gunung Kenderong). I see some patch of Jungle in this area, and as it is a very small road, it is quieter. I probably will come back with a recorder however the road has a lot of up and down and there are lots of mosquitoes.
Then in the evening, I went probably the best cafe around called Mochi (they do not serve any mochi, however). I was able to work 1 or 2 hours at the place which very nice and green (it is also a plant shop).
Then I had roller evening time (as the pavement was dry from no rain unlike the other days).
