Take a quiet, immersive morning walk with me along the river trails of Putatso National Park, in the Tibetan region near Shangri-La, Yunnan, China. This high-altitude landscape (3,800m) feels incredibly peaceful in the early morning, with flowing water, forest ambience, and occasional encounters with yaks, horses, and cows grazing freely along the trail.

[The Concept & Disclaimer]
As a field recordist, I use these walks not only to explore landscapes visually, but also to "sound scout" for unique listening spots and immersive ambiences.

During this walk, I stopped twice to record longer environmental soundscapes using a 4-channel immersive setup, and excerpts of these recordings are included throughout the video to let the environment fully breathe on its own.

A small note: at a few moments, you may hear bumps or handling noise from the microphones while walking. I am still refining my mounting and fixation system for this kind of recording setup, and appreciate your understanding!

[The Audio Experience]
🎧 Headphones highly recommended!

The audio in this video is designed to feel natural, spacious, and deeply immersive. Alongside the walking sequences, the stationary recordings aim to place you directly inside the quiet atmosphere of Putatso National Park, capturing subtle details of the river, distant wildlife, forest textures, and the calm presence of animals moving through the landscape.

Close your eyes, listen carefully, and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of this Tibetan mountain environment.
