Journal Entry: Day 134

Ella, Sri Lanka

I finally arrived in Ella, tucked away up hills in the middle of the country. It is a bowl of fresh air and a big relief from the heat of Arugam bay. The landscape is beautiful and life seems peaceful. I had the luck to find a beautiful room with breathtaking scenery. Ella is one of the most famous places in Sri Lanka, and it usually receives an immense load of tourists. However, nowadays there is almost no one here. I walked around the town and it felt like a ghost town, all cafes, and restaurants in an abandoned despair state. I was looking for food, It took me 1 hour to find 1 place that could serve me something, it was old curry, with a bad taste. Anyway, I think I will enjoy the fresh air more, and some hikes around this place. Also, my room has a table, chair, and wifi, so I can do some work.
I am already thinking about my next step in Sri Lanka since time passes by very fast. However, most places are closed and difficult to travel to, because there are restrictions everywhere.
