Journal Entry: Day 218

Las lagunetas, Gran Canaria, Canary Island,

Yesterday I discovered that some recordings I did from the last months are ruined by my negligence. In fact, my input setting on my custom kit was set to ‘microphone in’ instead of ‘line in’, and since I am too confident in my rig, I usually don’t listen while recording. I should be more careful in the future. And really assess if everything is working correctly before beginning recording. Hopefully, there aren’t many recordings to throw into the garbage, maybe just 10 of them.
During the day I explored the town of Tejeda which is said to be one of the most beautiful towns in Spain. Then I went to Roque Bentayga, a rock formation that hosts many caves that were used by ancient civilizations. The ambience was already quieter in this part of the island.
Today I am discovering the towns up North, this might be more road than Yesterday.
