Nairobi, Kenya,
Another day in the capital city of Nairobi.
These days, I feel my time is flying away.
Even though I am doing a lot of necessary tasks, having a comfortable life here does not fit with the story narratives of being in Africa. In a country with so much wildlife to witness, staying in an apartment in a city for a long time does not feel right. My life here is similar to the life I could have in many developed countries. I am happy to have a good quality of life, but I think I would prefer something a little more authentic for this time period. Even other neighborhoods in Nairobi are greener, and they feel more like a ‘village’ than the place I am in right now.
Hopefully, I will soon start to explore more of this country and its countryside; but if I stay longer or come back to Nairobi, I might decide to stay in a different neighborhood.
I am now planning my trip to the Masai Mara, I have to say the area is huge and there are tons of camps and lodges to choose from, it is a little daunting. In the meantime I am starting to delve more into my recordings from Malaysia, I have thousands of recordings, it is a big task I have to go through.
