Journal Entry: Day 229

(Nomad: Day 1375)
Dahab, South Sinai, Egypt,

Yesterday was a slow day. I noticed again that everything takes time. There is a paradoxical fate to slow travel: staying longer at one place is very beneficial as it allows to regenerate, and recharge the energy; And it also allows to experience all aspects of travel in a more meaningful way, learn, and understand the culture; and ultimately be more productive. However, at the same time, it creates comfort which can lead to some kind of laziness, and bring the opposite result of the primary intended productivity target. As many mentors would say, it all lies in what is inside each of us, our own beliefs and willingness are stronger than any elements of our surroundings. My best achievement in life has followed this pattern: I close my eyes and dream about it, then I believe in it, and believe so strongly that it ends up happening. The power of the will is the strongest force I have encountered and it always amazed me how much one can achieve with nothing else. I really need to remember this fact and open up my willpower machine to start it on again.
As it is the end of the year, I started to go through all the latest the year 2021 and pinpoint the highlights, doing some throwback photo posts.
