Journal Entry: Day 189

Alicante, Spain,

I arrived yesterday in this nice coastal city of Alicante, I took the tramway that goes along the coast which is very practical. Here the ambience is very different from Benidorm, it feels more like a real city. The crowd, in general, is more young and local. There are great cafes from which I can work. However the city does not feel too big, it has still a feeling of a big town. It is interesting to wander in the old neighborhood which is just situated at the foot of the dramatic hill that hosts an ancient castle.
Here, you can feel more influences from the moors, and Andalusia already.
The palm trees and other trees look healthy, unlike some I saw in France, it might be due to the milder winter weather. I will explore more of this town during the weekend.
